With legends like George Jones, Johnny Cash, and Merle Haggard all passed on, country music purists often echo the question Jones himself asked, “Who’s going to fill their shoes?” The answer, in part, is Mississippi native, Marty Stuart. While Marty Stuart is too gracious to admit it himself, the Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and musician is living, breathing, country-music history.

The Northwest Soirée is the college’s premiere fundraising and community recognition event at the new Center for the Performing Arts on the main campus of Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia. The formal, ticketed event will highlight a performance by Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, as well as honor new community award recipients who have contributed to the legacy of excellence at Northwest.
