 Technical Crew

Technical Crew Members are responsible for assisting with the load-in, load-out, and set-up of touring production equipment as well as running crew for performances and events. This position is under the supervision of the Production Manager and Technical Director. These positions are temporary and work is based solely on the labor requirements for each event.  

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • The capability of communicating positively and professionally with co-workers and representatives of touring productions. 
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy event schedules.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb several flights of stairs during a short period of time.
  • Ability to follow directions and maintain a safe working environment.  

Compensation:

  • Technical Crew compensation begins at $10 per hour.

Concessions Personnel

Concessions Personnel are responsible for the sale of food and non-alcoholic beverage in our concessions area. These positions are temporary and work is based solely on the labor requirements for each event.  

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • The capability of communicating positively and professionally with members of the public, co-workers, and representatives of touring productions. 
  • Assists with the logistics of inventory management for concessions. 
  • Maintains current and in-depth knowledge of schedule, events, and relevant contacts for each performance.
  • Remains vigilant and proactive in anticipating artist needs during events.  
  • Contributes to the environment of Heindl Center for the Performing Arts by maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy event schedules.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb several flights of stairs during a short period of time.
  • Ability to handle cash and card payments in accordance with venue policy.  

Compensation:

  • Concessions Personnel compensation begins at $10 per hour.

 Ticketing Agent

Ticketing Agents are responsible for Box Office ticket sales with guests over the phone and in person.  Ticketing agents are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills, passion for service, and the ability to work effectively with a positive attitude. These positions are temporary and work is based solely on the labor requirements for each event.  

Responsibilities:

  • Selling tickets to guests while providing the highest level of customer and guest services.  
  • Working with guests to solve customer service challenges in a professional manner.  
  • Maintains current and in-depth knowledge of schedule, events, and relevant details for each performance.  
  • Remains vigilant and proactive in anticipating guest needs during events.  
  • Contributes to the environment of the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts by maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Complies with all Heindl Center for the Performing Arts and Northwest Mississippi Community College policies on communications, dress code, safety, and cash handling. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts Director and/or Assistant Director.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years or older. 
  • The capability of communicating positively and professionally with members of the public, co-workers, and representatives of touring productions. 
  • Ability to work under pressure during heavy sales periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to climb several flights of stairs during a short period of time.
  • Capable of operating the Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Train and operate Heindl Center for the Performing Arts ticketing software. 
  • Ability to learn and operate Heindl Center for the Performing Arts ticketing software. 

Compensation:

  • Ticketing Agent compensation begins at $10 per hour.

Technical Director

Northwest Mississippi Community College (NWCC) is seeking a Technical Director for the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts. This position will be responsible for assisting the venue’s Production Manager in technical production of the theater’s regular programming, rentals, and on campus events. In addition, the Technical Director will aid in technical production of the college’s second venue, the Fine Arts Auditorium when scheduling permits. The Technical Director will assist in regular maintenance on improvements of all theatrical equipment. The Technical Director will advance all events for technical lighting, audio, and staging needs in coordination with the Production Manager of the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts. They will provide outstanding customer service to artists, touring personnel, rental clients, and faculty and staff, responding to feedback and inquiries in a timely manner with thoughtful solutions. This position reports to the Director and Production Manager of the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts. Please submit resume, design portfolio, and three reference when applying.
